Therapies in nursing homes
Why we created this programme
Many of the elderly people who live in nursing homes suffer from social or health problems. They find it difficult to communicate with other people. They may feel lonely, isolated and need external stimuli to regain their joy.
Animal-assisted therapy programmes for seniors improve their quality of life, providing them with benefits such as the reduced depression, stress, anxiety, as well as feelings of loneliness. It is a process that succeeds in improving their physical and mental health.
