Research
Research leads to progress. The backing of science is a fundamental part of our work.
Research is one of our key pillars. A solid research base is essential to promote initiatives and awareness-raising campaigns.
We do research to better understand the relationship between dogs, cats and people, to encourage reflection, and to make progress with unresolved issues.
Our focus is on the human-animal bond, the relationship between living with animals and health, as well as issues related to abandonment and adoption. We want to obtain objective evidence of the beneficial role that animals play in our lives.

Bond Study
From analysing the study data, the main conclusion we have drawn is that no two relationships are the same. Learn how to differentiate between two relationship types: the emotional bond and the pragmatic bond.
How do we conduct our research?
The Affinity Foundation Chair for Animals and Health at the Autonomous University of Barcelona
