Abandonment and Adoption Study

The “He wouldn’t do it to you” Abandonment and Adoption Study analyses the causes of, and data for, dog and cat abandonment in Spain on an annual basis, as well as the adoption rates. The report investigates the main causes of abandonment, such as financial problems, undesired litters and a loss of interest, and also examines the characteristics of abandoned animals. In addition, it highlights dog and cat adoption trends, aiming to promote responsible adoption and raising awareness of the importance of animal welfare and the prevention of abandonment. The Affinity Foundation Chair, Affinity's Consumer Intelligence department, and the Punto de Fuga Research Institute participated in the preparation of the study.
